I remember fondly the time when I played the Monkey Island games when I barely understood English (self-taught).
Lots of my time was spent on Transport Tycoon Deluxe, which also led to my father playing it a lot. Sometimes even until it was suddenly the next morning. There is/was truly no game like it.

I also played a lot of competitive Quake 3 Arena, a game like no other.
